Swimming Pool FAQ

Will it cost anything to get an estimate?

No. We offer a complimentary custom 3D pool plan, designed by one of our expert architects. This detailed proposal outlines our proposed pool design and includes detailed pricing information, allowing you to make informed decisions and stay within your budget.

How much does a pool cost?

Well, it depends… As a custom pool builder, the cost of our services will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to the slope and elevations of your yard, the topography of the excavation site, the composition of the soil (whether rock, dirt, sand or clay), the size of the pool, and additional features such as fire features, decking, the type of plaster textile chosen, coping style, and the location of the pool build.

Can I finance my pool?

Certainly! Swimming pool financing is typically provided through a long-term mortgage that is similar to a home mortgage. Financial lenders often view pool financing positively since a pool can add value to your home. For more detailed information, please click here.

How long does it take to build a swimming pool?

The time required to construct a swimming pool depends on various factors, such as the size and complexity of the pool, the availability of materials, and the weather conditions. Typically, the entire process can take between six to twelve weeks.

Do I need a permit to build a swimming pool?

Generally, building a swimming pool requires a permit from the local building department or the city or county government. The specific regulations and requirements can vary depending on the location, but they typically cover issues such as fencing, pool location, electrical and plumbing requirements, water supply, and drainage. It’s essential to check with your local authorities to determine the specific permit requirements and ensure that you comply with all regulations and safety standards. Additionally, it’s always a good idea to consult with a professional pool builder who can help guide you through the process and ensure that your pool is built safely and to code.

What are some popular pool features?

Popular pool features include water descents, bubblers, deck jets, fire bowls, tanning ledges, swim-up bars, and outdoor lighting.

Will a pool increase the value of my home?

The addition of a swimming pool to your home can increase its value, both monetarily and beyond. Hosting pool parties with friends and family, having a quiet peaceful escape, your swimming pool can offer the perfect retreat. Swimming is also one of the best forms of exercise and stress relief, promoting a healthy body and mind. Multiple studies show that a quality in-ground pool can increase a home’s value by up to 8%. When accounting for other features such as patio covers, outdoor kitchens, fire pits and landscaping upgrades. Some home values could rise upwards of 15%. Of course, this value may be impacted by current market and property values.

How much time will I spend maintaining my swimming pool?

Today’s pools now require much less effort thanks to the advent of modern technology and equipment. Many pool owners opt for automated systems to maintain their pools, which can be set to a consistent cleaning schedule. With these systems in place, minimal pool maintenance typically takes only 15 minutes per week. Alternatively, our maintenance department can schedule a weekly cleaning for you, allowing you to spend your time unwinding and relaxing.

How long does a pool last?

With proper maintenance and care, swimming pools can remain functional for an extended period. In fact, gunite pools have a lifetime warranty on the pool shell, and most have a 15-20 year warranty on the finish.

What is the typical size and depth for a home swimming pool?

We build tons of unique custom pools and they come in all different shapes and sizes. The most common size for a home swimming pool is 16×35 or 560-600 square feet. The depth of the pool will vary from pool to pool and depends mostly on the owner’s preference.
